Cougars Read
Reading opens doors to other worlds—encourage the love of reading and participate in GSPO's annual Read-A-Thon, March 27-April 11, 2025!
This year’s Read-A-Thon is all about celebrating the joy of reading! Our goal is for every student to read 500 minutes over two weeks. As you log your minutes, you’ll earn exciting prizes—both individually and as a homeroom or advisory!
Step 1: Start Reading!
📅 Kickoff Date: Thursday, March 27
🎯 Reading Goal: 500 minutes
Every minute counts! Whether you’re reading independently, listening to a story, or reading to a younger sibling, all minutes add up. Plus every minute read helps your homeroom/advisory earn points towards class prizes!
Step 2: Track Your Reading
📝 Keep track of your minutes each day using: the Google Form or a printed reading log.
📅 Deadline to submit minutes: Monday, April 14
To qualify for prizes, be sure to log all your minutes before the deadline!
Step 3: Celebrate Your Hard Work
🏆 Winners will be announced on Thursday, April 17
🎉 Prizes will be distributed the week of April 21
Every student that participates in the Read-A-Thon will receive a prize based on the number of minutes read! To qualify, make sure you submit all your minutes.
