This year’s Read-A-Thon is a school-wide reading challenge where every GSES student aims to read 500 minutes over two weeks.

✅ All reading counts! Whether it’s a parent reading to a Pre-K student, siblings reading to each other, or independent reading, every minute counts toward prizes!

📚 Minutes logged will contribute to individual, class, and grade-level awards.

Tracking your reading progress is simple and flexible:

• 📄 Use a paper tracking form, which will be sent home in Red Folders and is available for download.
• 💻 Submit minutes via a Google Form. Teachers can also submit minutes for the entire class if the class reads together for a set period.

📅 Start logging minutes at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25.
📅 Read-A-Thon ends at bedtime on Wednesday, April 8.
📅 All minutes must be submitted by Monday, April 13.

This flexibility ensures everyone can participate and log their reading progress with ease!

Yes! Students will receive all prizes up to the highest individual reading milestone they accomplish. For example, if a student reads 1,000 minutes, they will earn the rewards for 300, 400, 500, and 1,000 minutes.
