COVID-19 Announcement from the Head of School

Dear Good Shepherd Parents,

Tonight, we learned that one of our faculty members has an extended family member, with whom he/she lives, who has been confirmed as exposed to COVID-19. The family member has been in self-quarantine for several days and does not have any symptoms at this time. In an abundance of caution, we have decided to suspend school for the rest of the week.

We understand there are many wonderful learning and extracurricular activities scheduled over the next two days. We will work hard upon our return from Spring Break to reschedule those activities.

As you know, this is a very dynamic situation. We understand this late notice might put your family in a bind and we apologize for any inconvenience. We do believe this is our best course of action to keep our community healthy.

As I mentioned in my earlier email today, we will continue to monitor the evolving situation and send an email to our community on Friday, March 20th to let you know about plans for our return to school on March 23rd.

Best Regards,
Julie McLeod, Ph.D.
Head of School
