From the Head of School: Distance Learning Extended

Dear Good Shepherd Families,

Following Friday’s executive order from Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Good Shepherd will not resume on-campus classes for the 2019-2020 school year, and will continue with distance learning for our students. This order only suspended on-campus learning for the remainder of this school year.

Our administration, faculty, and staff are working hard to find alternative ways to celebrate some of our traditional end-of-year events. We are also continuing to evaluate options for the COE trips missed by students in our PreK, Primer, Ms. English’s 1st grade, 4th grade, and 7th grade. You can expect more targeted communication if your child is a member of one of those groups.

Although we certainly understand and support this difficult decision, we are disappointed we will not be able to be together as a school community again until August. Please look for a special message from the school later this week.

Stay #gsesStrong!

Julie McLeod, Ph.D.
