From the Head of School: Extended Suspension of On-campus Learning

Dear Good Shepherd Community,

With the ongoing uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, the continued guidance to Shelter-In-Place in Dallas, and Bishop Sumner’s directive limiting the number of people at churches and related facilities, we have decided to extend the suspension of on-campus learning and activities through Easter Break, Monday, April 13th. Good Friday (April 10th) through Easter Monday (April 13th) will remain holidays for students, as well as for our faculty and staff members.

We continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation, and we will provide additional updates to you as they are available. Please continue to adhere to the CDC/Dallas County guidelines, and remain safely at home with your families.

We hope your children have enjoyed reconnecting with their teachers and classmates from a distance. As I mentioned in my video last week, we are emphasizing flexibility and grace. With that in mind, we are being very intentional to solicit feedback so we can make adjustments quickly. You will receive a brief email survey on Friday afternoon, so please take the time to share a few thoughts with us!

If you are a PDO, Encore, or Extended Day family, please expect additional information from the school regarding this extended suspension of on-campus learning and activities.

Thank you for your flexibility and support, as we traverse this new frontier together.

Best regards,

Julie McLeod, Ph.D.
Head of School
