Carpool Reminders

Dear Good Shepherd Families,
What an incredible first day! It was terrific to see everyone on campus yesterday morning, and the energy was contagious!
As you return to campus, we would like to emphasize a few important reminders to ensure a smooth carpool for everyone involved!
ALL early childhood and lower school students should be dropped off in the morning through the Kincaid carpool route, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Please have children ready to exit your vehicle with backpacks, lunches, and water bottles in hand. If your children are not prepared to exit your vehicle, please pull out of the carpool line, into a parking space, and walk them to a staff member at the Kincaid door.
PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER than your child’s designated release time.
This is the most important thing you can do to help ensure a speedy carpool for all! Be sure to clearly display your carpool tag prior to entering our campus.
Early Childhood (PreK, Kinder, Primer) - 2:50 p.m.
(PreK exception is this week and early release students.)
Lower School (1st and 2nd grades) - 3:05 p.m.
Lower School (3rd and 4th grades) - 3:15 p.m.
Middle School (5th through 8th grades) - 3:30 p.m.
If you arrive earlier than your designated time, you may be asked to pull around the carpool line, exit onto Northaven, and return to the end of the carpool line from Midway Road.
You may park your car in the afternoon and walk to the Kincaid door to pick up your child, rather than wait in the carpool line. Please bring your carpool tag with you to show at the door, and wait outside near the YMCA track for your child to be called.
If you would like your middle school student to walk or bike home from school, we must have this completed waiver on file to release your student.
Please see this map for the school’s recommended route for walking or biking to and from campus.
PICKING UP MIDDLE SCHOOL SIBLINGS through the lower school carpool line:

  • Please, DO NOT arrive earlier than 3:30 p.m. Proceed to the blue line with 3rd and 4th grade.
  • During carpool, you will be provided with a small blue dot sticker to add to your tag.
  • You will pull into the far right lane, closest to the church, just as you round the curb to park and wait for your middle school student to be released and walk to Kincaid.

Thank you for your patience as we get into our usual carpool routines this year!
