COVID Protocols Update

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Good Shepherd  has regularly consulted with expert sources including the CDC in determining COVID-19 protocols. Recently, the CDC modified its guidance on quarantines after exposure. GSES has adopted this change and is only requiring a quarantine of five days when an individual tests positive for COVID-19. We will no longer require  quarantines for exposure, including exposure to a household member.

The protocol review committee continues to monitor the evolving nature and guidance regarding public health, including case tracking within our community. We will continue to maintain our  COVID-19 dashboard, visualizing  current case counts on campus. We encourage you to visit the dashboard anytime by logging on to our new GSES Parent Portal in Veracross. Simply click on the navy blue button entitled “COVID Dashboard.”

At this point, we continue to ask if any students test positive for COVID-19 that their family reports to the clinic for their return-to-school date by emailing clinic@gsesdallas.org.
