Dear Good Shepherd Families,
I hope you are doing well in the midst of the uncertainty our world is experiencing. We recognize summer planning is a high priority for our community, and I want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to analyze our options for Good Shepherd Episcopal School’s 2020 summer programs.
As you know, the safety of the Good Shepherd community is always a top priority. Now, more than ever, we must evaluate how we can most effectively and safely meet the needs of our summer community. The introduction of COVID-19 has created new, enormous challenges to our proactive safety plans. We have been working tirelessly to determine how we can safely host summer camps to meet the external and internal expectations of our families.
Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all Good Shepherd Summer Program activities scheduled to occur between May 26 and July 3, 2020. For those who have already registered for these canceled camps, you will receive a full refund back to your original method of payment. We will process these refunds as quickly as possible, but please note, due to the volume of the refunds being applied, we expect some slight delays and ask for your continued patience. I know this news may create childcare hardships for our families, and we most sincerely apologize. We are confident we made the best decision for the safety and health of our GSES Summer Program community.
Following the CDC recommendations closely, we are currently planning Summer Programming for July 6 through August 7, 2020. At this time, all initial July camp offerings are still available for July 6-17. Additional classes will be available July 20-August 7. You will be able to view and register for classes beginning June 1, 2020, and payments will not be processed until June 15th.
We will continue to monitor all orders, recommendations, and guidelines as they become available, and will make a decision on or before June 15th if summer programming will begin in July. In the event we are not able to open our July program, your pending payment will be canceled, and no money will be due. If you submitted a payment before May 1st for July camps, all monies will be refunded if we cancel.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we have also adjusted our cancellation policy for the remainder of the GSES Summer Program season. Families will be able to cancel their enrollment(s) at any time, and will not incur a cancellation fee. To plan accordingly, please make every effort to cancel within one week of the camp start date.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email, email@example.com. In the meantime, be safe, be well, and we look forward to seeing you in July!
