Light Up the Night!

All 7th and 8th grade students are invited to attend the 2022 GSPO Spring Dance, Light Up The Night, on Friday, May 13 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. inside Kincaid Pavillion. Highlights include music from DJ Roger Hayes and a fun, interactive Photo Booth! Water and sweet treats will be provided. Please note snacks and dinner are not included. Attire is semi-formal; please see the Dress Code information below. The Dance will be chaperoned by teachers and administration. Let's Light Up the Night and celebrate the end of the year and the last dance of our outgoing 8th grade students!
Please note that the Student-Parent Handbook states: Seventh and eighth grade students have the opportunity to attend two school dances each year. In order to attend, students must be in good academic standing, be in attendance the day of the dance, and not have any major disciplinary infractions for the current trimester.
Carpool Information Drop-Off:
Carpool drop-off for the dance will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Kincaid Pavilion. There will be a photo opportunity at the entrance of Kincaid. Parents may arrive a few minutes before 6:30 p.m., park, and walk up to take photographs before the students enter Kincaid. Kincaid doors will not open until 6:30 p.m.
Carpool Information Pick-Up:
8th grade students will be released at 7:55 p.m. Carpool Pick-Up will be in front of Nix for 8th grade students only.
7th grade students will be released at 8:00 p.m. Carpool Pick-Up for 7th grade students will be in front of Kincaid.

Dress Code Information

7th and 8th Grade Girls
Dresses should have a back that is no lower than the bottom of the shoulder blades.
Necklines should be modest – avoid plunging necklines
Girls may not wear strapless tops or dresses.
No exposed midriffs.
Dress may have a single shoulder strap as long as the cut is modest.
Dress length must reach the tip of the fingers when standing normally,
including any slit in the skirt.
See-through material cannot be worn to comply with the requirements.
7th and 8th Grade Boys
Boys wear slacks, collared shirt, and dress shoes
No jeans, shorts, or tennis shoes 
Please Note: Any student that does not meet the stated guidelines for dress will be required to call their parents for appropriate clothing. If parents cannot be reached, the student will sit out.
