Just a reminder, the Oncor utility company will be working throughout the school year to replace the electric towers near our campus. There is one located at the entrance to the south parking lot off Midway, and one is located at the opposite end of the south parking lot, near the playground. The project will involve erecting new towers next to the existing ones before dismantling the current towers. It is not anticipated the school will lose electricity at any point during the project.
Oncor’s current timeline includes crews pouring the concrete foundations for the new towers this weekend, September 11th and 12th.
In the event this work continues into the school week, the school has requested Oncor crews to pause work and relocate any vehicles or equipment between 7:30-8:00 a.m. and 3:15-3:45 p.m. to keep the south lot circle drive fully open during our carpool times. We are hopeful Oncor’s work on our campus will have very minimal impact on carpool or any other areas of campus life.
The facilities team is maintaining close contact with Oncor representatives, and we will keep the community updated on the project's progression.
