Good Shepherd continues to monitor and evaluate policies and protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our protocol review team continues to meet weekly to discuss any potential changes, consulting the latest guidance from the CDC, TEA, Dallas County health officials, and other area schools.
We are watching the Delta variant and its trajectory closely. Some experts believe it will run its course just before school starts, particularly in the south. While we have not finalized our plans, as of yet, because of the dynamic nature of the virus, we are very hopeful safety protocols may be eased for the 2021-2022 school year. We are diligently working on plans for a school experience that more closely aligns with the Good Shepherd experience our community loves, if allowed by the health and safety circumstances. Please watch for additional communication next week with a framework for our protocols.
We have faced many challenges over the course of this past year; however, we are optimistic for brighter days ahead. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to fine-tune our protocols for starting the new school year.
