The Monarch Experience Fall Events

Over the last two years, The Monarch Experience has grown into a national cohort of educators who are focused on amplifying excellence in education for all students. Our teachers and staff have collaborated with educators from Stanford University, SMU, Design for Change, Project Wayfinder, and thought leaders and authors such as George Couros and Jordan Shapiro.

This year, we will strive to support our larger community of parents and alumni with experiences supporting them in areas such as social emotional skill building, diversity, equity, and inclusion training, expanding creativity through tools such as design thinking, and community impact partnerships. Although educators are encouraged to join these events, non-educators will enjoy them equally.

Our first offering to the broader community will be a workshop hosted by our long-time Monarch partner, Susie Wise, focusing on designing for belonging. After retiring as the Director of the k12Lab, Susie won a grant to research the impact of belonging on learning and on work productivity. This topic is a perfect kick-off for us, and it should be energizing and uplifting for participants.

Also, we will host our first workshop aimed at k12 educators on September 12 online. Even non-educators may enjoy learning about “Designing for Equitable Futures.” Please join us if you are interested in future thinking as shared by the Stanford k12Lab. CLICK HERE to register.
