Dear Good Shepherd Community,
As mentioned in “Our Future is Strong” message series, the school is continuously evaluating our protocols aimed at containing the spread of COVID-19 on our campus and in our community.
Based on the latest guidance from the CDC and TEA (Texas Education Agency), as well as consultation with local health professionals, the school has decided to discontinue the practice of monitoring temperatures in our carpool lines beginning Monday, November 2nd. This step of confirming temperatures has been determined to be no longer necessary because you, our parents, have been so diligent in symptom screening, taking your children’s temperatures daily, and keeping your children home during illness.
Everyone is asked to continue the required completion of the Ascend questionnaire daily for display in carpool. It is crucial for all families to maintain this morning routine, as we continue to assess our current COVID-19 protocols to determine their success in mitigating the virus.
Please reach out to the Good Shepherd clinic at email@example.com if you have any questions.
Julie McLeod, Ph.D.
