Parents' Day Out
At Good Shepherd Parents' Day Out (PDO), we allow children to discover information through all their senses and from multiple angles; scientifically, artistically, musically, emotionally, and socially. We believe all children are competent, curious, and creative by nature.
Children's questions and interests are the foundation for learning experiences. When children share their wonder with other children, their parents, and teachers, they engage in richer and deeper learning. We encourage children to pursue wonder and find joy at every turn, supporting the belief that each child we teach is unique. We provide the opportunity for children to affirm a good sense of self-esteem and love in a Christian environment. At the heart of our approach is nurturing determination to equip students to learn, collaborate, and create on extraordinary levels.
When are Classes?
PDO operates from September to May, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Classes are offered 9:00 a.m.-1:50 p.m.:
6-11 months
Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
12-17 months
Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
18-39 months
Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
40-47 months
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Monday through Thursday
Extended hours and Friday options are available. Classes typically follow the Good Shepherd Episcopal School calendar.

September 6, 2023 - PDO Parent Orientation in Parish Hall of the church at 6:00 p.m.
September 8, 2023 - PDO Meet the Teacher
- M/W Classes: 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
- T/Th Classes: 11:00 - 11: 45 a.m.
- Butterfly students may attend either time slot
September 11, 2023 - First Day of PDO for the 2023-2024 school year
January 10, 17, and 24, 2024 - 10:00 a.m. - Prospective Parent Tours, Parish Hall
January 19, 2024 - 10:00 a.m. - Currently enrolled families enroll for 2024-2025
February 1, 2024 - 10:00 a.m. - New families enroll for 2024-2025
May 23, 2024 - Last Day of PDO for the 2023-2024 school year

Good Shepherd PDO is located in the east wing of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd at 11122 Midway Road. It is easiest to access PDO when parking in the parking lot off of Northaven.
