Do Good

We seek to foster a giving spirit in our students, focusing on service learning rather than community service. Service learning encompasses a comprehensive process that engages students on a deeper level, teaching them to recognize the needs of those they serve, fostering empathy, establishing clear purposes and goals for their service, working for the betterment of others, and reflecting on the impact of their experiences. This profound and all-encompassing approach equips our students to create a meaningful impact on the world.

Every year, the entire Good Shepherd community comes together to support a service project that alternates between a global, national, or local focus. Typically these projects are chosen by our chaplain team.

Continuous acts of giving within our community occur throughout the school year, spearheaded by a grade level or class, and often led by students and teachers. Our Middle School Service Leadership club takes on additional giving projects and initiatives.
