Disaster relief, it's what we do.
Good Shepherd's Disaster Relief and Recovery (DRR) program was born in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in the fall of 2012. Since then, the Good Shepherd community has helped support both local and neighboring state disasters by mobilizing our resources quickly to work hand-in-hand with other volunteer organizations.
The real story lies with our community who truly lives the school's mission of serving with compassion. These important service experiences provide examples of core values so critical in the formation and education of our students.
Current Focus
We are working to support those impacted by the recent tornadoes in Valley View, Texas. We are hosting a supply drive on Sunday, June 2 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. We encourage you to drop off any of the below supplies at Trinity Hall Gymnasium.
Valley View residents are in need of the following items: Gatorade, Electrolytes drink packets, bug spray, laundry detergent, deodorant, dish soap, plastic totes, fly traps, brushes/combs, shaving razors, diapers (size 5, 6, 7 only), cleaning supplies, paper towels, tarps, and Lowes/Home Depot style buckets.
Good Shepherd has gathered a team to travel to Valley View on Monday, June 3 to serve hot meals in the midst of clean up for those affected by the storms.
