Good kids. Good hearts.
We are committed to the health and wellness of every student. Our school counselors works collaboratively with faculty and parents to provide academic, behavioral, and emotional support, whether that be through individual counseling, group counseling, or social-emotional lessons in the classroom.
Counseling
Individual counseling provides support for students and families upon request by students, parents, or faculty. It offers short-term assistance for acute challenges, facilitates referrals for long-term care when needed, and coordinates with outside mental health providers to ensure comprehensive care within the school.
Group counseling addresses specific concerns, topics, or developmental issues based on students' needs. It complements classroom social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons to provide additional support.

Social-emotional learning is an integral part of education and human development. SEL is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.
Classroom lessons focus on five broad, interrelated areas of competence: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. In Early Childhood, students receive a 30-minute lesson every other week; Lower School students receive a 45-minute lesson every five weeks; and Middle School students receive lessons through advisory, retreats, and tailored classroom conversations.
