Fit For Our Future Campaign

An opportunity for Good Shepherd Episcopal School to enhance, enrich and protect the lives of our children and community.

Fit For Our Future is a $10 million comprehensive fundraising campaign that will provide:

  • A new building to house a regulation-size gymnasium and locker rooms
  • Classroom of the Earth dedicated space
  • Upgrades to security and safety throughout the campus

Fit For Our Future will allow Good Shepherd Episcopal School to usher in a new era of excellence for our school community by initiating a building project that replaces Trinity Hall and welcomes a modern, regulation-sized gymnasium. The gym will be used for daily physical education classes, sporting events, and school community gatherings with our students, families, and staff, with event seating for up to 600 people. It will be constructed to serve as a Category 5 storm shelter as an added level of safety.

Classroom of the Earth is a signature program offered by Good Shepherd that teaches the value and importance of mindfulness and environmental stewardship through hands-on learning. Fit For Our Future will provide improved storage, meeting space, and workspace to facilitate the program for all grades.

The safety of our students and staff is a priority for GSES administrators. Fit For Our Future will provide security upgrades around the campus. The new gym will be constructed to serve as a Category 5 storm shelter in case of a natural disaster. Additionally fences with access-controlled gates, new secured doors for Kincaid Pavilion and Mackey Chapel, new door alarm contact sensors, and integrated access controls with cameras will be installed around campus. A perimeter fence screen at Kelsoe Cottage was also completed over the
summer. Our students’ safety is our number one priority.

Naming opportunities are available for those who wish to leave a legacy at Good Shepherd. For more information on making a gift, please contact Director of Advancement, Laura Cole.
