Good Shepherd Annual Campaign
As Good Shepherd approaches 65 years, we continue to look forward to what comes next for the future of our school. We recognize the need to innovate, enhance, and rethink our current facilities to ensure Good Shepherd continues to be an educational leader. Directing contributions from our annual fundraising campaign to Fit For Our Future will allow Good Shepherd Episcopal School to usher in a new era of excellence for our school community!
This transformation will be made possible by the generous and forward-thinking support of our stewards — parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends — who propel Good Shepherd to remain at the forefront of education, empowering generations ahead.
Strength
Fit For Our Future will initiate a building project that replaces Trinity Hall and welcomes a modern, regulation-sized gymnasium to be used for daily physical education classes, sporting events, and gatherings with our students, families, and faculty/staff, providing seating for up to 600 people.
Stewardship
Our beloved outdoor education program, Classroom of the Earth (COE), draws children outside their comfort zones — where they can find the confidence to learn, the compassion to serve, and the courage to lead. Every student Pre-K through 8th grade is taught the value and importance of environmental stewardship and mindfulness through this unique hands-on program. Fit For Our Future will provide improved workspace, storage, and meeting space to enhance the COE program across all grade levels.
Safety & Security
Our top priority is to provide a nurturing and safe environment so students can feel at ease in the classroom and faculty/staff are comfortable at work. Fit For Our Future will provide significant security upgrades across the Good Shepherd campus, allowing us to further enhance our multi-pronged approach to safety. The new gymnasium will be constructed to serve as a Category 5 Storm Shelter in case of a natural disaster, while expanded campus security will keep us protected from other threats.
Legacy Gift
Good Shepherd's eighth grade year is rich with traditions and pivotal moments leading up to graduation, with the Legacy Gift being a focal point within our Annual Campaign. Exclusively for eighth grade families, this initiative enables the graduating class to raise funds for a project that will shape Good Shepherd for future generations.
The Class of 2024 has chosen to fund an indoor climbing wall in the new regulation-size gym, a key component of the Fit For Our Future Comprehensive Campaign. This climbing wall promises to deliver a multitude of benefits to our students — fostering physical fitness, mental strength, teamwork, communication, stress reduction, safety training, and more. Your generous contribution to the Legacy Gift bolsters our Annual Campaign participation.
